Some call death “the ultimate sacrifice.” What are some examples of people who have died to save others? What do you think were their reasons to give their lives? An example of people who sacrifice their lives for ours would be the U.S.Army. They work everyday protecting their country, and protecting us citizens. The different branches of the army work together to keep harm away from the country and its people. In my opinion, it is bravery and heart that leads people into the army; it is their desire to help us, the desire to fight for freedom and peace.
If a situation were to come where I would be in need to risk my life for one's who was in danger, I would. There is something about that warm feeling inside your heart where you know you have done something right. Nothing can compare to that feeling, and if it means I must risk my life for it, I would. Sometimes you might have to think about what is right for all people, and not just yourself.

I think a good example of people dying for others is when 911 hit the rescue crew that went in and died to save others. I think the reason they gave their life is that they wanted to make sure family members got home and friends were reunited. I think when it comes right down to it know right know I would not risk my life. I would think about it but I would just stand their unable to move.

I think some good examples of people that give their lives helping others are police men and women (I couldn't find a picture for it). These brave people give their lives defending others lives and or communities. They probably give their lives because they know (or believe) it is part of their duty to their country and the other people. I personally think it depends on whether or not I would give my life for someone else. I think I probably would but like I said, it depends on the situation. The biggest reason I would is because I have nothing to worry about when I die but I don't really know if that person does or not. : )

I think a great example of someone giving thier own life to save others is Bubba from the movie Forrest Gump. Bubba has a kind and thoughtful heart so I think Bubba gave his life because he cared about his friends and family and thier safety more than anything. because because first that was their job to save others and that they wanted to save everyone and they have dedicated their lives to saving others and they knew that there
were people that needed saving and a hero and they wanted to be that someone. I honestly wouldnt save my life for just anyone because life is priceless but if they were
my friends or family there is no doubt, I would give up my life for someone that meant the world to me and that I truley cared about.

I Couldn't Find A Picture, So I Used a Picture Of An American Hero. People give There Lives Because they respect their Country. I Would Give My Life for someone else if they were in need.

My idea of someone making "the ultimate sacrifice", and trying to save someone else's life would be: In Australia during the big floods, a boy, his mother and his brother were driving in tire deep water, when their engine stopped. They got on top of their car as the flood waters were rising quickly. The rescuers came to rescue them but they could only take one. The boy said to the rescuer, save my brother come back for me. The boy had been swept away before the rescuer could come back.- I used a picture of a river to show how the boy even though was terrified of water wanted to save his brother first. I would most likely not sacrifice my life for just anyone but I probably would sacrifice my life for my family and close friends.

My idea of someone giving their lives to save others is a story a few years ago about someone who was awarded the medal of honor after he was killed in the field. His unit in Afghanistan was walking through the desert when someone through a grenade at them. One man yelled "Grenade" but no one heard him. So he threw himself on top of the explosive and his unit was saved. I chose a picture of The Tomb of Unknown Soldiers because it represents all of the men and women who have died for our safety. The first thing that comes to my mind if you say someone who died for someone else is Jesus. He is the savior of the Christian religion who rescued his followers from death and hell from sin. Jesus died on a cross to give his followers this gift of eternal life which is the image I chose for that reason. I am also a Christian so when people talk about people who gave their own lives for that of someone else Jesus is the first image to appear in my head. Soldiers are another example of people who give their lives for others well being every day. Also, famous movie characters have done the same thing. I think that I would in most cases make this "ultimate sacrific" as well. If I were to have to live with the guilt of knowing I could have prevented the death and sadness of another family I don't believe it would be worth it to live with the guilt. My example of someone who commited the "Ultimate Sacrifice" is Jesus Christ. I think his reason for giving his life was to remind people to live their life full of love and kindness. Jesus is a known person for giving his life for others. Believed in the religion Chirstianity, Jesus died on the cross to give people hope for a better life to come and to forgive people for their sins. I would give my life to save one of my family members or a close friend.

I think this is the perfect picture for the "ultimate sacrifice" because it showed what heros really are. If we didn't have these men and women, we wouldn't have the freedom we have today. It shows what heros the service men and women are today. Their reason to give their lives was so everyone could have freedom. I personally would give my life for someone who was in danger or in need. These are true heros to me.

The firemen also were hopeful to save as many lives as they could even though they were all probably stangers. They also did it withought wanting anything back from anyone. These are the true heroes in America and risk their lives everyday and save lives. I dont think I would be able to risk my life because im not brave enough and I probably would only risk my life for my family.

Their lives are risked daily from the dangers in the world only to protect others that they don't even know. Policemen or policewomen risk their lives so that the laws are kept and so people remain safe, even if it means that they aren't. They are very brave people and they help make the world a better place, though there are many other people who risk their live to help others as well. I don't know if I would ever have enough courage to risk my life to save a stranger's like a policeman or policewoman, but I definitely would for a family member or a friend. I thank the police and others for saving people's lives even if it means risking their own.
